About Us

Our Student Council is off to a great start! This week, members spent time getting to know each other and learning a bit more about the organization.

Sponsored by Mrs. Luna, Mrs. Verstuyft, and Mrs. Saenz, Student Council is open to students in grade 3-5 who have been voted to represent their classes. This service-based learning program invites members to participate and lead in a variety of service projects throughout the year. Students agree to:

*Attend meetings every other Wednesday from 4:00-4:45.
*Maintain passing grades in all subjects.
*Maintain a courteous attitude.
*Be a good role model (no office referrals).
*Participate in school and community service projects.
Be on the lookout for their positive influence!

Grandparent’s Day was busy, full, and filled with much love and many smiles! We appreciate the many grandparents who came to spend some special time with their grandchildren…YOU MATTER!

Congratulations to the first of our Explorers to turn in their summer reading logs! It’s not too late…students have until August 29th to return their forms. Earn a book for every 250 minutes read! 📚❤️

Who is always one of the most popular people in the school?! The SCHOOL NURSE! If you didn't get to meet her last night at Meet the Teacher, we'd like to introduce you to Nurse Kassie! She may look familiar because she worked as a float nurse in SWISD last year. You may have seen her around! Welcome, Nurse Kassie!

A huge THANK YOU to our construction company, Joeris, and some of their partners for making a difference on our campus by not only transforming our space into something fresh and beautiful, but also by collecting school supplies for our students! In addition, Joeris provided snacks for staff as we celebrated the first day of school. What a great way to start! Thanks for taking care of us!

Elm Creek welcomes our new Assistant Principal, Mr. Scott Flanagan! Mr. Flanagan has 18 years of experience in education, and most recently comes from Sun Valley Elementary. He is extremely excited to continue his career as an Explorer, and we’re happy to have him! When you see him, please introduce yourself and welcome him!

January 10th was chilly, but that didn’t stop our second graders from having a great time on their visit to the Witte Museum. The Witte never disappoints…there’s always so much learning that happens in unexpected ways!

The PreK garden continues to be a great place for exploration. Recently, students and teachers harvested radishes from the garden. The big question: did the kids LIKE eating the radishes?!
